Grant Writing Seminar 2: Write Winning NIH Career Development Award Proposals

The Department of Scientific Publications is sponsoring “Write Winning Grant Proposals” and “Write Winning NIH Career Development Award Proposals,” a pair of grant-writing seminars that have received excellent reviews from past MD Anderson participants.

Seminar 2, “Write Winning NIH Career Development Award Proposals,” will focus on individual mentored training grants and career development awards and is recommended for trainees, junior faculty members, and their mentors and/or advisors.  Content of the seminar includes tips and strategies on getting reference letters; selecting and getting the most from a mentor; how review criteria can be used to inform the writing of a CDA; the kinds of research and training that should be proposed; and more.

The first seminar will be all day on Monday, March 4, 2019; the second seminar will be in the morning only on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Registration is now open, and early registration for MD Anderson employees ends on Friday, January 18.

The seminars will then be offered to people from other TMC institutions. Final cutoff for registration is Friday, February 1, 2019

  • Seminar 1 Only (March 4, 2019) - $145.00
  • Seminar 2 Only (March 5, 2019) - $95.00
  • Both Seminar 1 & 2 (March 4-5, 2019) - $175.00
