Grant Writing Seminar 1: Write Winning Grant Proposals

The Department of Scientific Publications is sponsoring “Write Winning Grant Proposals” and “Write Winning NIH Career Development Award Proposals,” a pair of grant-writing seminars that have received excellent reviews from past MD Anderson participants.

Seminar 1, “Write Winning Grant Proposals,” is based on NIH grant application guidelines. It will focus on helping you:

  • write for reviewers and “sell” your proposal;
  • develop ideas and organize your presentations using a linear progression of logic to guide reviewers through your application; and
  • write for two different reviewer audiences—those who have read the entire application before the review meeting and those who have not—and develop advocacy for funding in both groups.

The first seminar will be all day on Monday, March 4, 2019; the second seminar will be in the morning only on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Registration is now open, and early registration for MD Anderson employees ends on Friday, January 18.

The seminars will then be offered to people from other TMC institutions. Final cutoff for registration is Friday, February 1, 2019

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. For your convenience, here is the link to the CME/Conference Management registration page.
